On the afternoon of April 18th, SWUFE-UD Institute of Data Science at Southwestern University of Finance and Economics held the UD Blue Hen Open House at Gezhi Building on SWUFE campus. Professor Rick Andrews, Foreign Associate Dean, and Ms. Dora Tseng, the foreign academic program coordinator, attended as guests and had in-depth communication with our students. The event was successfully held in a friendly and joyful atmosphere.
At the beginning of the event, Dora and students introduced themselves and shared about their hometowns and favorite things, quickly bringing the teachers and students closer together. Dora gave a brief introduction of University of Delaware and showed a video to give everyone a sense of the beautiful campus scenery. She then shared the rich resources and opportunities that UD provides for students, including internships, research, and career services, which filled the students with confidence for their future learning and development.
The second part of the event was a Q&A session, and the students on-site actively participated, asking Professor Andrews and Dora questions. Professor Andrews provided valuable advice and guidance to students on various aspects of learning and life. Dora also gave guidance and answered questions about student exchanges, credit recognition, and career guidance.
This UD Blue Hen Open House provided a good communication platform for our students and representatives from UD, promoting communication between both sides. Through this event, students gained a deeper understanding of UD and received valuable academic and career advice.
