Introduction: Chuan LUO serves as the Director of Department of E-commerce in the School of Economic and Information Engineering. He is also a Associate Professor in Southwestern University of Finance and Economics.

Ph.D., Management Science and Engineering, University of Science and Technology of China, 2009

Ph.D., Management Information Systems, City University of Hong Kong, 2010


Work experience

He works as the E-commerce expert consultant of Sichuan Provincial Department of Commerce, Chengdu Municipal Bureau of Commerce and Chengdu Agricultural Commission; He is the member of International Information Systems Association and the executive committee of Asia Pacific Branch; As a reviewer of dozens of SCI/SSCI journals such as JAIS, I&M, DSS, IJEC, IJIM, JGIM, CHB, ECR, JECR, Internet Research, Information Technology and People, Behavior & Information Technology;

He has conducted research cooperation with many universities, including City University of Hong Kong, University of New Mexico, Mississippi State University, University of Science and Technology of China, etc. He also has extensive cooperation with Huawei, Jingdong, Tencent and other famous e-commerce enterprises in China.


Teaching Interests

He teaches Introduction to E-commerce, Business Research Methods, Undergraduate research training to undergraduates, Business Research methods to postgraduates and Business Research methodology to doctoral students.

Research Interests

His research interests include Information management and E-commerce.

Major research achievement in recent three years:

He published many papers in in International journals, such as Computers in Human Behavior, Nankai Business Review International, Technological Forecasting & Social Change, Emerging Markets Finance and Trade, Complexity, Electronic Commerce Research and Applications, etc.
