On November 8, Mr. Ming Cai, Director of China Affairs at the International Exchange Office of the University of California, Irvine (UCI), and Mr. Jian Liu, Southwest Regional Director of UCI International Programs, visited our institution. They were welcomed by Mr. Binyu Wang, Associate Dean and Associate Party General Branch Secretary, and Ms. Xiaoyu Zhao from the Global Engagement Office of the Institute for discussions.
During the meeting, both parties shared information about their institutions and explored potential collaboration on exchange programs and master's degree progression. They noted the strong alignment in the academic development and student development goals of both parties.
In a subsequent presentation to our students, Mr. Ming Cai and Mr. Jian Liu presented international policies for Chinese students, the advantages of STEM programs at U.S. universities, and the pathways for further education through the partnership between our two institutions. They encouraged the students to pursue their professional goals and seek global job opportunities in their future.
