Introduction: Shilei YANG is a Professor of Operations Management and serves as the Dean of SWUFE-UD Institute of Data Science at SWUFE. He received his Ph.D. in Operations Management from Washington State University. He was selected as the New Century Excellent Talent in University by China Ministry of Education, and is the Executive Member of Council of Sichuan Youth Association for Science and Technology.

Teaching Interests

Dr. YANG teaches courses in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management in undergraduate and doctoral programs.


Research Interests

Dr. Yang’s research interests involve supply chain management, interface between operations and other functional areas, and applied business modeling. His research has been published in leading field journals, including Production and Operations Management, European Journal of Operational Research, Omega, and Journal of the Operational Research Society. He has been the principal investigator of several projects sponsored by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Humanities and Social Sciences Foundation of China Ministry of Education, and EU-China Social Security Reform Cooperation Project.
